Doctrinal Synopsis
The doctrine of the Church of God and Saints of Christ includes the following
principles:
- God exists. He is One, beside Him there is no other. He is concerned
about the affairs of mankind. We acknowledge Him by loving Him, as the
scripture reads, "...with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all
our might" (Deuteronomy 6:5).
- God continues to raise up prophets. The revelatory tradition embodied in
the Kethuvim is still alive. William Saunders Crowdy, our
re-establisher, was a prophet of God.
- The Ten Commandments form the core of our ethical beliefs.
- Our ethic concerning our interaction with the rest of humanity is
expressed by Leviticus 19:18, "...thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself."
