God, in His wisdon, made a friend,
Someone on whom we can depend...
A loyal friend who'd understand
And always lend a helping hand.
He flt we'd need somebody who
Could comfort us when we feel blue...
Whose special warmth and happy smile
Would make us feel that life's worthwhile.
Someone with whom to take a walk,
To share a book or to have a talk...
Who'd chat for hours on the phone
Or sense our need to be alone.
In short, God made a friend to be
Someone we're always glad to see.
Theres little else that God can send
That means as much as one good friend.
A friend accepts you as you are,
Makes no demands of you
But laughs with you in happy times
And shares your heataches, too...
A friend is always standing by
To lend a helping hand
And if you need to be alone
A friend will understand...
A friend is someone you can trust,
Who's very special, too
And I'm so glad that I have found
