In recognition of its historic place of worship and its legacy of human betterment and deeds of kindness, Eighth Tabernacle Beth El, Albany, New York, has been awarded a grant to assist in restoring its spiritual edifice. The $3,500 grant was gifted through the New York Landmarks Conservancy Sacred Sites program.
The Albany Tabernacle is one of two local Church of God and Saints of Christ Tabernacles serving communities in upstate New York. The second location is in Rochester, NY and both share a rich history of faith-based contributions in the region.
