COVID-19 Testing at Sentara Healthcare in Suffolk

Suffolk, VA–COVID-19 testing came to the Belleville community on Wednesday, August 5, and a steady stream of residents took full advantage of the Judah Lane drive-through opportunity.  The life-saving neighborhood event was co-sponsored by Sentara Healthcare and Temple Beth-El and it is just one of many service projects the two have organized in northern Suffolk. 

The healthcare system and global faith-based organization are committed to helping neighboring families especially the elderly and the underserved.  

Sentara’s senior communications advisor, Dale Gauding, celebrated the partnership:

Although the forecast warned of the possibility of scattered showers, the late afternoon sun prevailed as more than 100 people drove through for testing.

Testing and personal safety measures outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are key to warding off the virus as the nation and the world fight to put an end to this pandemic. Temple Beth-El and Sentara Belle Harbour combined resources to make a difference one neighbor at a time.
